Hello everyone. This video is Barry at the Royal Albert Hall 1982. It was the first time I saw Barry on TV, so this is very special to me. I lost the video with the whole show, so if anyone can help to get me a new one I would be very thankful.

What kind of surgery did Barry have? Was it a hip replacement on both hips? I didn't see anything in the daily newspapers. When Barry had his hips drained, that made the Honolulu Advertiser. This time, nothing so far. I just hope Barry is doing ok and isn't pushing himself for his Paris Hotel debut in February, 2010.
I get all my Barry info through the MMN. I don't know of any other link for Barry updates or intervies. You might want to check "HULU free tv", if it's available in your area. Or "Fancast.Com", also free TV shows. Haven't tried looking for Barry inteviews yet. I'm still looking for new pictures of Barry on MMN. Did you order Barry's 2010 calendar? It's quite large! Don't know where I'll hang it. The wall might fall down.
Have a nice, sunny weekend! I have the fan going and Emmitt has fallen asleep for the afternoon. The warm temperture always does that to him. He's so cute when he's asleep.

It's a beautiful sunny Saturday, here in Hawaii! (I'm hoping for a little rain so the trick-o-treaters won't come over in droves while I'm watching my NCIS marathon tonight! Love that show!
No, I haven't tried watching the "talk shows" on Fancast.Com. Never thought about it. I thought you could only catch regular TV programs. Maybe I can dig up some recent Manilow interviews, as I know he's been doing some this past week.
I'm still waiting for my last Manillow Christmas CD from Starz.bz, "Because It's Christmas". I ordered it on October 12, 2009 and it hasn't arrived yet. Guess it's coming by canoe?
I received the 2010 Manilow calendar I ordered. Really nice pictures!!! I wonder what ever happened to the "Barry Grams" we are supposed to receive regularly through BMIFC? I've only received two since I joined Barry's fan club.
The TV has lost any sound. I'm not good at reading lips. I better go check it out before I lose the whole NCIS espisode.
And here I thought I would be enjoying a weekend of NICS!!!

Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday! My dog Emmitt is alread on "Cat Patrol" by the windows. We're trying to keep the neighbor's cats (lots of them!) from peeing in my sister's yard. How rude of them!
Anyway, with all the CDs that Barry will be releasing in the next year or so, maybe he will come to Europe to promote them, and then you will have a chance to see him again! You know how Barry goes on all of those "talk shows" (which I always miss!) and talks about the CD; the songs, etc. I wonder if you can wait at the TV station and get a photo or an autograph or shake his hand? Shake his hand.
We're having a nice Sunday today. The weather isn't as humid as it was on Saturday. Of course, I do have two fans going, but it IS much better today, really!!!
Winter is on its way, and here we are, still in our shorts and t-shirts and rubber slippers. And I'm listening to Barry's "In The Swing of Christmas" CD. I think the neighbors think I have lost it. I like to start early.

Which Barry CD are you referring to: the Christmas one where Barry is sitting next to the fireplace, or the one with "IF WE ONLY HAVE LOVE"?
I have the 3-CD set for which has the song above. It's titled "BARRY MANILOW CLASSICS", and it has 3-discs.
The Christmas one is the one I can't find on Amazon.com or in Honolulu. Maybe since the holiday season is approaching, all of Barry's Chirstms CDs will be availble (I have the other two, I just need the last one).
No, I didn't get to see Barry in 2009. I was so looking forward to seeing Barry again. He is such an exciting entertainer to see in-person!
I've been to four of his shows, and enjoyed everyone of them. I was singing along and waving (at the back of his head as he was leaving he stage) the first time I saw him in-person.
I was in the middles section, in row 6, about 20-feet from the stage, so I had a pretty good view of Barry. And oh my! My mouth was hanging open! HE IS SO HANDSOME IN PERSON!!! You must see for yourself
And I cried when he sang, "Are You Lonesome Tonight". It was so beautiful. 2nd show I cried when he sang" Moonlight Serenade", and danced with one of the lucky fans. The fan was in heaven!!!
The last time I saw Barry was Saturday night, November 22, 2008. (that was the time I was selected to be in the QVC audience when Barry was promoting his 80's CD. He had his who band and singers with him and he sang for us! And here I thought he was just going to stand behind a counter and talk about the CD!!! What a thrill that was!!!)
I sat on the stage, front row, for the November 22, 2008 show and was quite close to Barry. No, he didn't come up to us. He just came up to a black line on the stage and sang to us from there. He did sing to a very nice lady, Noreen Hall, who I had just met, and boy, the looks they gave each other!!!! I thought they were going to set the curtains on fire!!!!
Naturally, after the show, I had to hug Noreen because "she was special"!!! I wish I could have taken a picture for Noreen, but I didn't want the flash going off in Barry's face. What a beautiful memory...............
My sister has already made reservations for us to go to Las Vegas in January, 2010, but I have no idea where Barry will be performing.
We're not rich. We are traveling with a charter group and staying downtown. We love the California Hotel. So many people from Hawaii stay there. And, the low rates help to pay for Barry's show tickets!
I hope Barry takes as long as necessary to recuperate from his hip or whatever health problem he has. His health always comes first. (we can always watch his DVDs)
Have you been to see any of Barry's shows? I do hope you can come to the USA and catch one of Barry's shows, as he travels across the states.
If you love Barry's songs, you will really love his shows. He is so charming and funny on stage.

I'll try Amazon.com and check if I can order Barry's 'Live in the UK". I'll try Amazon.com to order this CD.
I'll be seeing Barry's shows in June, the 18th and the 19th. And I always sit next to the nicest fans from the UK! What a great way to meet Barry's fans from across the ocean! I just love it!

I was attempting to ask a question regarding Barry's 02 shows but kept getting the "browse" screen. I'm sorry for messing up the dicussion page.
All I wanted to ask was if Barry say "We'll Meet Again" at the end of each show. I've been looking through my CDs and haven't come across this song yet. I always play the Blenheim Palace show (I'm watching it now) so I can listen to this beautiful song. I wish he would sing this song at his Las Vegas show, but I think this song is JUST FOR HIS UK FAMILY. Song always makes me sad and teary. I just love it!
Please let me know if you know of a CD that this song is available on.

Only just saw youe post on the drums picture from Blenheim. Yes I was there at that remarkable concert. A fantastic day that I will never forget.

I have that Royal Albert Hall concert on video somewhere...at least I think I still do, but not sure if it's available on DVD. I would love all the old video's of concerts that we have to be released on DVD, as no one uses video's much anymore.
