Barry opened in a wine-colored jacket - I've never seen it before. Looked like velvet, maybe? Really pretty.

We got Christmas songs! Nothing like jumping right into the middle of the show to start my review - right? Ha!
Barry bounced out in his bright red jacket tonight. There was absolutely no hint of the fact that he recently had surgery. He was full of energy and seemed very happy to be with us. The crowd was ve…

Barry opened the show with a lot of energy. No, I don't think he's 100% yet - but he gave us a lot last night.
He opened with It's A Miracle, as usual. I think that will probably be my favorite of all of his songs for the rest of my life - it just makes me feel good. No matter how down I am, that song…

There are some shows that are just destined to be special - and this was one of them. From the moment Barry walked out on the stage (in my favorite jacket, no less!) until his last encore (yes, multiples!) it was one special moment after another.
This show was totally different from both the Vegas shows and the arena shows. Everything had a different feel to it. It goes without saying that the set would be different because there was a 60 piece orchestra up there! I knew that having the orchest…

I will be in Vegas from the 5th to the 11th October to see Barry and other shows. It would be really good to meet up with some fellow fans before and after the shows.
Only 10 days to go before the long trip to Las Vegas, but it is definitely worth it.
Wasn't Barry brilliant at the Proms in the park? He looked really relaxed and having a good time. I only expected two or three songs, so to get twelve or so was a real bonus. I wished I had been there now but I had a previous engagemnt, which I cou…

The key to the mystery of a great artist is that for reasons unknown he will give away his energies and his life just to make sure that one note follows another… and leaves us with the feelings that something is right in the world. Without music, life is a journey through a desert. I love all of your music. I can watch you now as you play, your fingers caressing your piano. Your keys gliding ever so gently making your love notes flow. Your song becoming mine, the melody drifting like a mist. You…

This was another great show. In some ways, it was totally different from the PNC show the night before - and I'm not talking about the physical layout of the stage or the set list - just a different feel.
This was a true arena show - high stage, greater distance between front r…

Wow - this trip is taking me back to the old days of touring around with Barry. Actually, there's only been two other times when I did it as a road trip. Most of the time I go alone and so I just fly into a city and fly out. This time I flew in to Boston, since my friend Marcy lives in a Boston suburb. The drive through Massachusetts and Connecticut was absolutely beautiful. Shortly after we entered New York state, there was a doe and a very young fawn (still had his spots) standing right next t…

Last night's show rivaled Thursday's show. Barry was at the top of his game from the minute he walked out on stage. He was full of energy and he put everything he had into every song. It was as if he were trying to outdo himself as he progressed through the set list.

Barry was still playing wi…

Sorry for the delay in posting this. A friend grabbed me as I was leaving the show room and we ended up talking until 2:00am. I'm too old for this! Tonight if I nod off during the show, someone nudge me, ok? (don't worry - no way I could nod off during Barry) But, take everything I say with a grain of salt (except for the fact that Barry did a great job) because it's quite fuzzy right now. And, no - I don't drink - so, it's not that!
It was a great show.

Barry is back at the Hilton in a big way! The show tonight was incredible. Barry looks great, sounds even better...well...maybe a tie between those two... At any rate, it was a fabulous show!
It's been 9 weeks since I've seen Barry perform (darn cancellations). In Manilow time, that's FOREVER! (I know - I'm very, very fortunate to see him as much as I do. But it still feels like forever!)
Barry opened in the bright red jacket. He seemed full of energy, happy to be with us. For a Thursday night…

I'm not going to try and top Lana's review, it's amazing, I'm just going to write it from my point of view, so sorry if I repeat anything Lana has already said...
Friday morning wasn't going well, I just couldn't get out the house for one reason or another, I knew that Lana and Lil were already there, and all I wanted to do was be with them.
I eventually got there at about 1.00pm and with a little bit of comforting direction from Lana via our mobiles, managed to find them. They were by an open…

It all started months before with the announcement that Barry was coming back to the UK less than a year after his last appearance’s here for the fantastic shows in December 2008 (Thank You Barry). Now, he was coming back to perform again at the prestigious British event The BBC Proms in Hyde Park.
You have to understand that they don’t ask just anyone to perform at these shows so to perform alone is a great honour. To headline the event tells you how highly Barry is thought of in the UK, and t…
